Got home from work tonight and was thoroughly tired out. It was a long day full of back-to-back meetings and it was great.
I stepped outside with Monty once I got home and he made straight for the rise in the grass by the shed, beside the daffodils and took a comfortable grassy seat to watch the softball game going on in the back field.
I took a seat nearby and smelled the grass and the scent from the peach blossoms appearing over the lawn, and the distant smell of chocolate cookies baking in the factory a few blocks downwind from the house.
After a while of sitting we decided to wander about the lawn for a while.
Then we took one final look around and then went inside. Dinner was pizza and the evening was full of relaxing and more relaxing.
